Rio Cosumnes Jail

Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center (RCCC) is located at 2500 Bruceville Road, ElK Grove, CA 95757. It is a Level III facility, housing over 2,000 inmates. The institution was built in 1991 and opened its doors to inmates in 1992.

RCCC has four major housing units: A-West, B-East, C-North, and D-South. In each unit, there are six general population dormitories, a segregation unit, and a medical/mental health unit.

The institution offers a wide variety of programs and services to its inmates, including: Adult Basic Education (ABE), High School Equivalency (HSE), vocational training, substance abuse treatment, anger management, life skills development, and religious services.

RCCC also has a library, a gym, and a weight room. Inmates have access to the prison yard for outdoor recreation.

RCCC is a medium-security prison, housing both male and female inmates. The institution has a staff of over 300 employees, including correctional officers, teachers, nurses, and cooks.
