Community Court

Community Court is located in Orange County at 909 N. Main Street, Santa Ana, CA 92701. The court is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except on holidays.

Community Court is an innovative program that provides an opportunity for first-time, low-level offenders to resolve their criminal case outside of the traditional criminal justice system. Defendants who participate in Community Court must plead guilty to the charge against them, but they may receive a reduced sentence and/or community service in lieu of jail time. Participation in Community Court is voluntary, and defendants may choose to participate at any time before their case is resolved in court.

Community Court is designed to address the needs of the community by providing defendants with access to resources that can help them address the underlying causes of their criminal behavior. Participants in Community Court are assigned to a case manager who will work with them to develop a personalized plan that includes referrals to community programs and services.
