Family Court

Family Court is located in Santa Clara County at 170 Park Avenue, San Jose, CA 95113. The Family Court building is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

The Family Court handles a variety of family law matters, including guardianships, adoptions, child custody and visitation, domestic violence, and juvenile law cases. The court also has a family support division that helps parents with child support and spousal support issues.

If you have a family law case that needs to be heard by the court, you can file a request with the Family Court Clerk’s Office. The clerk will help you determine which court division your case should be filed in and will provide you with the necessary paperwork to start the process.

If you are unable to attend your court hearing, you may be able to have it rescheduled or participate by telephone or through video conferencing. You can find more information about how to do this on the Family Court website.
