Michael D. Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse is located in Los Angeles County at 42011 4th St. West, Lancaster, CA 93534. The courthouse was dedicated on October 2, 1992 and is named in honor of Michael D. Antonovich who has served as the 5th district supervisor since 1980.
The Michael D. Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse houses the following court departments: the Antelope Valley Branch of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California, the Antelope Valley Office of the Federal Defender, and the United States Attorney’s Office.
The courthouse is a two-story structure with a basement. The building has a steel frame and concrete walls. The exterior features a red tile roof, stucco finish, and wrought iron balconies. The interior features marble floors and columns, wood paneling, and brass fixtures.
The courthouse is LEED Gold certified. Some of the green features of the building include a rainwater harvesting system, energy-efficient lighting and heating/cooling systems, and use of recycled materials in construction.
The Michael D. Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse is a beautiful and impressive building that serves the people of Lancaster and the Antelope Valley well. It is a symbol of justice and democracy, and I am proud to have it in my district.
