The court also hears appeals from lower courts, and reviews juvenile delinquency and dependency cases. The court is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on holidays.
The Sheriff’s Department is responsible for enforcing the law and providing security for the Law and Justice Center. The department also operates the county jail, which is located on the premises. The jail houses inmates who are awaiting trial, as well as those who have been sentenced to serve time. The jail is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
