The Bail Bonds Process

If an individual does not have cash or property sufficient to cover the face amount of bail, they can use the services of a bail agent or “bondsman” through All-Pro Bail Bonds. The bail agent agrees to secure the release of the accused individual in return for a fee between 8-10% of the face amount of the bail. Once the fee has been negotiated and the arrested individual or co-signor agrees to take responsibility for the face amount of the bail bond, the bail agent delivers the bond to the jail and the arrested individual is released from custody. If you have additional questions, please visit our Bail Bonds FAQ for more helpful information!

Booked into Jail

Once the Defendant is booked into custody, the magistrate (Sheriff, Police Chief) will set bail based on a predetermined amount for each criminal charge.

After the bail amount is set, the Defendant may qualify for release on their Own Recognizance (“OR”). If the Defendant does not qualify for OR, they may qualify for bail, or remain in custody during the hearing process.

Defendant attends all court hearings until the end of the case. At the conclusion of the case, the court will exonerate the bail bond or return cash bail that was posted on behalf of the Defendant.
